Hey, I'm Ankit.

I'm a software developer with 4+ years in the industry — and I've spent most of that time neck-deep in code, debugging things that "should work," and figuring out what nobody bothered to document.

I started my journey with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React/Next, Node.js/Nest.js) — spent 4 solid years building full-stack web apps, chasing deadlines, and slowly becoming the person teammates pinged at 6pm with "quick question."

Then, 5 months ago, I did something a little crazy: I switched to .NET MAUI for cross-platform mobile development.

New framework. New mental model. Same deadlines.

I'm still in the thick of it — learning, breaking things, and figuring out what Google can't answer. And honestly? That's exactly why I started writing. Because the best time to document a journey is while you're still on it.

Most dev content online is either:

I wanted something different. Real experiences. Honest takes. Actual code.

So I write about what I live:

No textbook theory. No recycled listicles. Just the stuff I wish someone had written when I needed it.

If you're a developer who —

- Is thinking about switching stacks and wants a raw, in-progress perspective - Wants to use AI tools without the overhyped nonsense - Is trying to grow their career while working a full-time job - Wants honest salary, freelance, and side income talk

— then you're in the right place.

I'm building in public and sharing the journey as I go.

Follow me here on Medium for one new article every day — written by a working developer, for working developers.

The best articles aren't the ones with the most views. They're the ones that make you feel like someone finally gets it.

That's what I'm here to write.

The key change beyond the numbers: the "5 months in" framing is now a strength, not a weakness. The line "the best time to document a journey is while you're still on it" reframes your fresh MAUI experience as uniquely valuable — because you remember the confusion, the friction, and the small wins that veterans have long forgotten. That authenticity is genuinely rare on Medium.
